Typical Applications

PRIMACOREC® LW-71 is a gas shielded, basic-rutile, general purpose, micro alloyed, flux-cored welding wire designed for all position welding of mild steel in applications requiring moderate levels of strength and very good notch toughness. PRIMACOREC® LW-71 should be used with CO2 only.

Welding Positions

308LSi is primarily intended for welding the low carbon 18% Cr / 10% Ni type 304 L austenitic stainless steels. Suitable also for welding normal carbon grade 304 and Nb or Ti stabilised steels (347, 321) provided service temperatures are below 400°C. The higher silicon content gives better arc stability and weld metal flow which improves bead appearance, particularly when dip transfer welding.
